WABEKBON Consult, now officially registered as a private limited company, marks a significant evolution from its earlier incarnation as WIBD Consult, established in Ethiopia in 1998. The registration process included recognition from key authorities such as the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, and the Ethiopian Management Institute.
Our consultancy is distinguished by a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals, including Ph.D., M.A., and M. Sc. degree holders. Our staff and associate consultants have honed their expertise in specific disciplines through ongoing training programs, workshops, and seminars, ensuring a depth of knowledge that aligns with industry standards.
Under the leadership of our Managing Director, Dr. Kejela Gemtessa, PhD in Development Economics from Cambodian University of Technology (IICUT), Cambodia in 2024, M.Sc. and BSc in Agricultural Economics, WABEKBON Consult provided consultancy services to various Federal Ministries and Regional governments, which include, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Urban Development and Construction, Ministry of Water and Energy, Ethiopian Roads Authority, Ministry of Federal Affairs, Oromoia Water and Irrigation Bureau, Amhara Women Affairs Bureau, Benishangul Gumuz Food Security Office,etc.
We also provide consultancy service for a diverse array of multilateral and bilateral organizations. These include JICA, SNV, GTZ, CIDA, SIDA, USAID, IFAD, and the World Bank
